(Note: A selective number of applicants may receive financial assistance based on need. Applicants interested in assistance should ask their school counselor or CBO sponsor to write a letter attesting to the student's need and send to BASE@bucknell.edu)*YesNoEssay QuestionCommunication is one of the most essential components of any interpersonal relationship; it allows people to feel seen and heard in their lives. There are four styles of communication: Connector: Personal and Interactive. Likes to take time to relate and feel comfortable in conversations when they’ve made meaningful connections with others. Planner: Purposeful and Procedural. Initiates conversations to get specifics, tend to share in chronological order, and complete their thoughts before switching subjects. Thinker: Objective and Strategic. Reflects upon a conversation before responding. Analyzes and chooses a response that is most accurate in expressing their thoughts. Mover: Active and Straightforward. Gets to the point quickly and keeps moving forward. Talks about adventures and accomplishments, perhaps even while moving during the conversation! Of the four styles described above, which one do you identify with, and why? Would your friends, family, or close supporters agree or disagree with your selection?
